My Guide to Loving Relationships

 Unconditional Love and Eternity
Back to Full Blog

God loves me, unconditionally. Of this, I am certain. But, his unconditional love does not tolerate my unfaithfulness forever. His covenant relationship is like a marriage.

Can I live unfaithful to my spouse and expect my marriage to last? Likewise, can I live apart from God and expect him to live with me in eternity?

A loving parent disciplines his children. God will do no less. For God loves no less. God loves even more.

God will punish sin. Love demands it. Unconditional love demands it even more.

Great going Theo! You had a little time out and boy did you come back with a great one! I agree. And ultimately it is refusing the unconditional love and forgiveness of God that will bring eternal punishment. GLad to see you back, June

Theophilieous.......I see you are goin' from preachin' to meddlin' agin.

What's up with this? They might get mad at you! They might say you are not politically correct! They might call you mean names! They might tell you to stop preaching OUTSIDE the church! They might tell you to stop preaching.....they might tell you to stop.....they might tell you.....they might tell......they might......they.......

Who are THEY anyway, hmmmmmm?

Keep preachin' that good stuff, Theo.....

Thanks June! Thanks for visiting and checking up on me. Lot's going on in my world right now. This is really an escape for me and one of the things in my life that keeps me focused on what's truly important.

POH, you're SO funny! You always brighten my day! I think I know them "theys" folks. Heehee! They are the reason I'm currently hosting free worship in my living room! Heehee!

Theo

Unconditional love is God and if you can find that in a hubby , which I did, - then you know the saying "You've caught the brass ring" or "You are the grand prize winner" in life. We are both thinking similar things so I know we must be happy with our spouses. Keep the heart in your love - Theo - -- keep the heart. And always be her soft place to fall as our Lord is for us. Come hear my tunes - it says it all.

You're right. It's all about the heart. I do struggle in this area. I have to admit. God keeps working his way into the deepest corners and darkest closets. He keep demanding access. I keep opening the doors. I'm not there yet. But, he is getting me there. He's always gentle and kind. He invites. I come because I know he is good and will reward me with gentleness and peace. I love that peace.

Thanks again! You always have some great comments!

It is important that we don't forget that sin has terrible consequences.

MM Blog,

Thanks and thanks for visiting.

AE-

You're correct. Important to remember. Consequences, both here and beyond.

I used to hate consequences. But now I realize without them, there is no reward!

FREE worship, Theo.....ya mean I don't have to have MONEY if I come? Ya mean I can just come in and worship GOD and not have to put anything in the offering plate? I won't get CHASTISED if I don't give my ten percent? I won't feel like a total loser and hypocrite if I don't have money in my pocket that day? I can worship God and He will actually HEAR me if I don't give my "SEED FAITH OFFERING" first?

I don't know, Theophilieous, you are goin' down a rough road over here. You might get in TROUBLE! You might have to EXPLAIN yourself in front of some ELDERS! You might not be in with the IN crowd! You might get looked at funny at the grocery store! People might not say "HI!" to you any more! I don't know, my friend.....you sure you want this path? You sure you don't mind those little pebbles sticking up through your shoes? There aren't too many people wanna walk down THAT rocky road!..............................

Ahhhhhh, but the rest, Theo.....the peace.....that peace that passes all understanding..........oh man, that can't be beat......that only comes from the LORD! No man's gonna give you THAT, Theo my man!

BTW, just WHERE did you say you are located in TX? You are making me FRUSTRATED up here in NY, talking 'bout FREE worship!

POH, I am deep in the HEART of Texas! Come on down!

I have to admit, I'm a spiritual revolutionary! Isn't it interesting that free worship is not actually revolutionary but ancient! Everybody keeps looking for something new and different. I just want to go back to the living room style of worship found in the New Testament and first century!

Hey, maybe we call it antique worship! Nah! Sounds too much like a bunch of old people bowing down before oak chest-of-drawers and faded mirrors!

POH, BTW we don't pass a plate. My house and land are paid off! Besides, we all have jobs! This congregation doesn't need a paid staff. We view ourselves all ministers. We trust the Spirit to pour out what we need, as we need it, as he desires! And, if someone has something to say? This preacher shuts up! I sit and listen. The congregation gets double blessed!

Hello
You are so very right, I loved my husband very much but I could not forgive him for this sin. Satan is so strong when it comes to the love of flesh he knows this will do two things, both husband and wife will both sin and stay together or one will leave the other. Gods love is to have whole families with strong love for one another what you are doing is going agaist God's princple's of love this is what makes Satan strong he is able to laugh at God's creations ( US)

Bambie, you're exactly right. One is either living by the law of the flesh or the law of the Spirit. If one lives by the flesh then they obey the flesh and death results. If one lives by the Spirit, then one obeys the Spirit. Joy and peace are the result. Me, I love joy and peace!
